The Scheduling feature in the EverythingCloud Platform allows you to optimize cloud costs by automating the start, stop, and parking of resources based on your business needs. It also provides flexibility to handle exceptions through schedule overrides, ensuring you maintain control while saving on unnecessary usage.
Schedules
• Default and Custom Schedules: Manage predefined or user-created schedules.
• Search / Sort by Timezone: Easily locate schedules across time zones.
• View Schedules: See schedule details and attached resources.
• Modify Schedules: Delete or copy selected schedules for reuse.
• Add New Schedule: Configure schedules with summary, details, resolution, and resource selection.
Creating a New Schedule
1 Navigate to Schedules;
2 Click on Add Schedule;

3 Fill in all the schedule details;
4 Select the time slots for which your schedule will be active and resolution (1 hr or 15 min resolution available);

5 Save the schedule or create another one right away;
6 Saved schedule will appear in the list of your schedules;

7 You can go back to editing it anytime or view Attached Resources, i.e. resources to which this schedule has been applied;

Overriding a Schedule
1 You can always override temporarily your schedule that has been applied if you need to urgently start/stop the server;
2 Navigate to Resources and select a server that you need to override their schedule for;

We recommend Overriding schedules for a specific time period over Changing or Detaching to avoid unnecessary charges.
3 Click on Override Schedule

4 Type in the number of hours you need the schedule to be applied immediately;

Pausing Recommendations
Server Pausing Recommendations
• Search / Filter: Sort recommendations by state, type, or location.
• Export CSV: Download data for offline analysis.
• View Recommendations: Access summaries, details, and options to apply or ignore recommendations.
• Utilization Graphs: Visualize resource usage with graphs and heatmaps.
1 To view recommendations, go to Server Pausing Recommendations and view the list of recommendations and potential savings;

2 Click on any recommendations to view more details and apply it if necessary;

Keyword Recommendations
The platform automatically analyses your resources and provides recommendations based on the keywords, such as “dev”, “staging”, “test” etc and allows you to turn those resources off when not in use using schedules.
• Summary: Track total keywords, applied/ignored ones, and current savings.
• Add Keywords: Define new keywords to refine scheduling.
• Resources List: Apply or ignore schedules based on keywords.
• Search / Filter: Locate resources by state, type, or location.
1 Go to Keyword Recommendations and view your available recos
2 Edit default keywords and/or apply available recommended schedule directly
